Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Peptogenesis collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and how it is handled. It describes only what this site actually does.

Who this policy covers
This policy applies to this website and to orders placed through it. Peptogenesis sells within the United States only, and orders may only be placed by people who are at least 21 years old. Products are supplied for laboratory and analytical research use.
Information you give us
When you place an order
We collect your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, and telephone number where you provide one, together with the contents of your order and the acknowledgment you give at checkout confirming your age and that the materials are for research use. This information is used to process, fulfill, and support your order.
When you create an account
An account stores your name, email address, and password, along with your order history and saved addresses. Peptogenesis does not store your password in readable form. WordPress stores password credentials using cryptographic hashing. You may optionally supply a company or laboratory name and a research field — both are optional and may be left blank. We also record the date on which you accepted the research-use acknowledgment. We do not require an account in order to browse the catalog or see prices.
When you place an order as a research purchaser
Because these are research materials sold only to adults aged 21 or over in the United States, checkout also collects your date of birth, your research role or organization type, and — if you choose to give it — your company or institution. We record the four research-use acknowledgments you give, the time you gave them, and which version of our policies was in force.
We use this to confirm order eligibility, to qualify the purchaser as a research buyer, to process the order, and to keep a record of the acknowledgments given. Your date of birth is used to calculate whether you meet the age requirement and is kept with the order record; it is not shown back to you on your account pages. We do not ask for government identification.
When you contact support
The contact form collects your name, email address, the category of your inquiry, your order number where relevant, a telephone number if you choose to give one, and your message. You may optionally attach a JPG, PNG, or PDF file — for example a photograph supporting a damage claim. Your message is delivered to our support inbox by email. Attachments are written to a private directory on the server that is not browsable and is not added to the public media library, and they are kept only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.
Payment information
Payments are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout. Card and banking details are submitted to that provider and are processed under its own privacy policy and security arrangements. Peptogenesis receives confirmation that a payment succeeded together with limited details needed to identify the transaction, and does not receive or store your full card number.
Any payment application or provider you use is operated by a separate company under its own privacy policy and terms. Information you submit through it is handled by that provider, not by us.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting environment records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as the IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This is generated by the normal operation of a web server and is used to keep the site running securely.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work:
- Shopping cart and session cookies set by WooCommerce, so your cart survives from one page to the next and through checkout.
- A session cookie recording that you completed the 21+ research-use acknowledgment shown before entering the site, so you are not asked again on every page. It lasts for the browser session.
- Login cookies set by WordPress if you sign in to an account.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not run advertising or behavioral-tracking systems, social media pixels, or affiliate tracking, and we do not use your information to build advertising profiles. We do not send marketing email or SMS, and we do not operate a mailing list. Services that are necessary to run the site — such as hosting, email delivery, and payment processing — may load their own resources where they are required to function; those are used to operate the service, not to advertise to you. If any of this changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.
Online Tracking and Do Not Track
Peptogenesis does not engage in cross-site behavioral tracking. We do not follow your activity across other websites, and we do not build advertising or behavioral profiles about you.
We do not permit third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this site, and no advertising network, analytics tracker, or social media pixel is configured on it.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting or a similar signal. There is no common industry standard for how sites must respond to those signals. Because we do not carry out the cross-site behavioral tracking that a Do Not Track signal is intended to limit, we do not change how the site behaves when one is received. If we ever introduce such tracking, we will update this section and state how those signals are handled.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to process and deliver your orders, to reconcile payments, to answer your support inquiries, to maintain your account, to keep records of the acknowledgments given at registration and checkout, and to protect the site against fraud and abuse.
Who we share information with
We share only what is needed to run the business, and only with the categories of provider below:
- Website hosting and infrastructure — the provider that runs the servers this site operates on.
- Business email and support delivery — used to send order notifications and to receive and answer your support messages.
- Shipping carriers — given the delivery details needed to carry your parcel to you.
- Payment providers — where a payment provider is used, it processes payment details directly under its own policy.
These providers may only use the information to perform that service for us. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep information
Order records are kept for as long as needed to fulfill the order, provide support, and meet our business and legal record-keeping obligations. Account information is kept while your account remains open. Support attachments are kept only as long as needed to resolve the inquiry they relate to.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies to you, you may have rights over the personal information we hold — such as asking for a copy of it, asking us to correct it, or asking us to delete it. To ask for access to your information, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, email support@peptogenesis.com with your request and the email address you used with us. We will respond in line with the law that applies. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and some information may need to be retained where the law requires it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. Support attachments are stored outside the publicly accessible media library, and account passwords are stored only as hashes. No website or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Age of customers
This site is not directed to children, and orders may only be placed by people aged 21 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make that clear.
